Electric cars:
The benefits for the environment and for our health.

When 2020 seemed really far away, people thought that until today we would live scenes from the movie Back to the future. The year 2020 has come, the time machine has not been invented, flying cars have made their first appearance, but before we envision what it would be like to get to work ‘’flying’’, let’s turn to an extremely important development in the automotive world.

The electric cars have found their place in the automotive industry worldwide and constitute the image of the future. They will not travel us in time, nor will they solve the problem of traffic jams on the roads, but they can ensure a cleaner environment and better health.

But what are the electric cars and how do they work? Electric is a car that uses the electricity stored in rechargeable battery packs (batteries), having electric motors instead of internal combustion engines. Cars with batteries that can be recharged without the use of internal combustion engines are a type of electric vehicles without fuel consumption, while cars that combine the use of electric motors with the use of internal combustion engines are called hybrid cars and are not purely electric.

A division of electric cars with motors powered by different energy sources and not by an integrated battery is the solar car, energized by solar panels, while the electric car that uses ECO JOIN gasoline generator is a form of hybrid car.

In summary, pure electric vehicles are those that are powered by a built-in battery. How do electric cars “create” a friendlier environment, improving our health?

Experts insist that electric cars are the answer to the unpleasant consequences that gasoline-powered cars have caused in the atmosphere. Electric cars:

A. They produce zero pollutants, a feature that plays the most important role in protecting the environment and our health. It is a fact that air pollutants from petrol and diesel vehicles are “guilty” of asthma attacks and bronchitis, while in the long term they can cause lung problems, heart disease and many more serious diseases.

B. They leave a smaller carbon footprint in relation with the petrol-driven cars. This is because electric vehicles are battery powered by renewable source of energy. Therefore, in all their forms (that is, even hybrids), they produce much less fossil fuels and greenhouse gases, which burden the environment temperature and atmosphere.

C. They do not waste energy during their “life”. It is a reality that in the process of their construction, electric cars require a lot of materials and energy. But when they hit the road, they can offset this waste of energy in eighteen months of life, leaving far behind petrol-driven cars and the energy they consume over a period of time. In addition, electric cars compensate those who choose them, significantly improving the driving experience since:

  • They have a much higher energy efficiency rate than cars powered by internal combustion engines, and at the same time regain energy, making their cost per kilometre really low.

  • Their cost for service is also extremely low, as there are no costs for engine maintenance or mechanics damage.

  • They are almost quiet, making your road trips enjoyable and contributing significantly to the reduction of noise pollution in the cities.

  • They accelerate tremendously, thanks to the huge torque they produce.

  • They have larger spaces due to the absence of mechanical parts. Electric cars are here to stay. It is time for us to make wiser choices in favour of environmental protection.
